Thailand bound with a little goodbye. // 8 -13th May 2016

Day 1

After months of endurance, we finally managed to get through finals and embark on the long-awaited pre-farewell trip. It was a trip to Bangkok & Hua Hin with 11 friends of mine. Because of some technical issues, we booked 2 different flights so we ended up with 2 groups arriving at 2 different time. The first group got the really early flight so we had to leave for airport at like 3am. After we've landed in BKK, we dropped our luggages and went to Chatuchak weekend market. We didn't manage to explore much due to the scorching weather. We spent around 2 hours there then we went back to the hotel and check in. After checking in and settling down for a bit, the 2nd group finally arrived. Few hours later, we went to Asiatique as we have the Calypso Cabaret show to catch. I was really looking forward to that show because the management told me that they would organise a surprise for my brother but it didn't happen so it was a bummer :/ . I'm lowkey glad that it didn't happen cause I'm afraid that he'll be mad at me if it really happened .

While waiting for the show...

The birthday boy!

Day 2

We went on a 3 hours van ride to Hua Hin. After settling everything and obtained all the infos required, we went for lunch and then beach. It was my first time riding on a banana boat and being flipped over on purposely. It was a good experience i guess haha. I don't know how but during jane's ride, she somehow broke/damaged her calf muscle. I guess God has better plan for everyone as that injury got her the chance of being carried by her crush. Then, we went for dinner and back to the villa to have a pool party. I honestly hate the shower in this house with a burning passion. I'd probably do a better job in designing it....

Day 3
We didn't do much on day 3. we only went to water park then got into a abandoned floating market and ended the evening at Hua Hin's night market.

Auntie and Elaine preparing breakfast for us.
Thank YOUs!

Roteeeeeee...

Day 4
It's time for us to leave this stunning villa and head back to the hectic Bangkok but before we did so, we went to visit the National park... It was tiring yet rewarding. Because it's almost my bro's birthday, I planned to have a surprise celebration for him during the trip so on that day, i had to call a Thai bakery to order a chocolate cake which was a really difficult task. After asking help from several locals, we managed to order it and the plan kinda went smoothly even though he was suspicious about it. As usual, we had dinner at a random restaurant then off i went to "meet up" with my thai friend.

Day 5
Woke up at 6ish because we planned to surprise him early in the morning. I don't even know what kind of human being he is. When i woke up to brush my teeth, he was awake already... After 15 minutes of discussion with the rest, luckily i managed to sneak out of the room... We all managed to smack him in the face with a handful of whipped cream so i guess the surprise was successful? I hope you'll always remember your 19th oversea advanced birthday celebration :).  Crazy how it's already our last day in Bangkok :( . We had my "must eat" tom yam gong for lunch then we went to Erawan Shrine for some praying session. You have to visit Big C at least once when you're in Bangkok to bring home all the desired snacks. Initially, we planned to end the last night in Bangkok with a little massage session but i guess things don't always go as how we planned and finding a appropriate massage store was catastrophic... We ended up not going massage and ended our last night with disappointment :( .
Happy Early Birthday MOFO!
One of my fav human beings.
The beauty.
Happy kid with his box of goodies.

Mango Tangoooooo

My fav ship
last.

Day 6
I guess nothing lasts forever and it's time for us to go back to reality...
One of the hardest things about the trip was definitely saying goodbye to each and every beautiful faces. I know this trip wasn't flawlessly planned and there was obviously conflicts every now but i guess it's the flaws that made it so memorable... Till next time my mates...

White Water Rafting 2015

It was such a relief that our finals ended last week. To top that off , our water rafting trip was just right around the corner . Water rafting is considered part of extreme sports so I was pretty excited .
We met up at a specified location and off we went to Slim River, Perak . There were some tiny obstacles that morning but we managed to overcome it ! It took around 1hour or more to arrive at the venue . After getting all suited up , we proceed to the starting point with a ford . I cannot even find a word to describe the road to the starting point . As soon as we arrived at the starting point , equipments were distributed and safety briefing was given.

Without wasting any time, my team immediately went down to the river and started practicing . All those command will make you feel like you're in the navy . Without further ado, the adventure began. The water level on that day was really shallow and it caused us to stuck on/between/by the rocks for God knows how many times. I fell into the water twice but with their safety briefing, it was not that difficult to get back up on the float/boat.

My team!

evidence of forever
It was definitely a great but not so thrilling experience haha! Highlights of the time were definitely that moment when Deidre's team fell into the river. Their instructor intentionally flipped the float around & all of them were drifted apart. That instructor rescued everyone on the float except Deidre !!!! As a really compassionate group , we took Deidre in haha. 2/3 hours of adventure on the river ended in a blink of an eye and it almost felt like it never happened zzz! I wish I could replay that moment whenever I want. Overall , it was a really successful and memorable trip. I'll definitely reminisce this trip once in awhile in my own memory lane. Everyone dozed off on the journey back. Last but not least, thank YOU to all my friends that contributed in this trip! It wouldn't be so enjoyable if it wasn't for YOUR presence so thank you from the bottom of my heart and fingers crossed for more adventures!

He wanted to capture an illusive picture but he obviously failed lel.

龙门客栈火锅店 Dragon Door Inn Steamboat // Soon Kee Herbal House (信记龟苓膏凉茶甜品店)

After the long wait, we finally decided to pay a visit to a famous steamboat store which is located in Cheras. For the exterior design , they added tons of lantern which makes it stands out from all the other store at the same street. It's located on the upper floor of a two story shop. While you're on your way up, you'll be surrounded by the pictures of famous celebs that have visited on both side of the wall. All the furnitures are really well arranged and there's a really wide spacing between all the tables.

They used charcoal instead of gas for the heat/fire which gives customers a chance to experience the olden day steamboat style.
They offer a wide range of food. :) We ordered :
{ I personally think that all the food were really fresh x }
Homemade shrimp + meat dumpling & Wantan.

Broccoli
Mushroom

bean curd sheets

Pork belly ( i think )

Pork slices

Chicken slices

We picked pork bone based and Si Chuan spicy soup.
Definitely the spiciest steamboat i've ever tried YET.
After staying there for a period of time , you can smell the scent of charcoal all over yourself.

It's believed that all the human being have 2 stomaches. one for main and the other one for dessert.
After such heavy and tingly-numbing meal, you could simply go to the dessert store next door (inside scoop) or travel around 10 minutes(by car) for Soon Kee Herbal House 信记龟苓膏凉茶甜品店.
I tried the store's best seller- Longan Tau fu but they offer other types of desserts as well! This is definitely the best dessert you could get with such price.

Melaka 15'

Yesterday, me and my family went on a road trip to Melaka. Our journey began at 11am and it took around 2 hours or more for us to travel from KL to Melaka.

I have never tried Chicken Rice Ball in my entire life before so for our first stop , we went for the famous chicken rice ball which i sadly forgot to take pictures of but the taste was just moderate. For our next stop , we went to Jonker 88 which is apparently a must visit in Melaka. We ordered
Baba Cendol

Durian Cendol

Curry Noodle
Asam Laksa and Curry + Laksa which i didn't take picture of.

After that , we bought some egg shaped ice creams from a store in Jonker Street.

Due to the scorching hot weather , we decided to proceed to our next destination earlier. All the well known places/restaurants are located within 10-15 minutes drive so we arrived at Coconut shake Klebang really quickly.

Coconut shake special
For dinner , we had Satay Celup. First time trying it and i felt in love with it instantly. It has the mixture of sweet and spicy which I'm pretty sure most human being on Earth like it. The shop opens at 5pm and i went there around 5:45pm yet it was almost fully occupied so it's better to be there earlier if you're going during peak season or weekends.

Before heading home , we went back to Jonker street to get some random snacks and stuffs.

 Portuguese egg tart

It kills me every time when i'm reminded that College starts in few days time ): .
